Visiting North Atlanta

Last weekend we made the short trek down to the north side of Atlanta to visit my parents and some of our friends that live in that area. It was a glorious weekend and Helen enjoyed spending lots of time outside playing around the blooming things and blending into her pink surroundings.

We all really enjoyed the screened in porch, that allowed us to explore the wind chimes, the croaking frog in the flower pond, and the friendly neighbor's cat who came by for a visit. Helen's favorite thing to do now is to give hugs to anything her size-- be it other children, Dora, dogs, or this cat.

We loved rediscovering the little gem of Roswell... the Chattahoochee Nature Center. It has a number of aviary exhibits, butterfly garden, beaver, and walking trails through the woods and the board walk down by the river. It was a perfect Saturday morning activity and it's on our list of regular things to do when go to visit Helen's Nana and Papaw.

We also got a chance to get together with some of my college buddies, and let our kids run play. It was a fun Memorial Day event.
