Remember the Heat

We continued our San Antonio adventures today with the obligatory visit to the pride of Texas. Helen may not remember the Alamo later in life, but we will not forget how hot it was today (we're thinking 95+). We enjoyed it nonetheless, and also made our way to the Riverwalk and took a boat ride on the river. The most eventful part of the journey was when the boat broke down and we had to call for a rescue. That made a great opportunity for an early exit to head towards some air conditioned relief.

It was Josh's 16th birthday today... happy b'day Josh! We all went to this quirky (not campy) little restaurant called the Madhatter Tea House. Yummy little sandwiches and cool flavored iced teas.

We've had a wonderful visit here in Texas and will be making the journey back east tomorrow.
