Play Ball!

Another quick trip to Grandmama's was also a chance to visit cousins Elizabeth and Nari. They told Aunt Kim all about webkinz, which apparently are all the rage now. Kim also visited some good friends and the ladies at church. Meanwhile, back in Greenville, Daddy had an opportunity to catch up on some running and bike riding... the later being the the first time since last Fall the bike was even removed from the ceiling storage rack. But I've been busy, right?

Kim returned in time to get a good night's rest and the three of us made it to Sunday school and church this morning, after a long hiatus. Helen saw both the nursery (during class) and the cry room (during the service), although she really wasn't bad just being awake. Oh, that reminds me that I may have mislead some readers last week in implying that Helen has been sleeping through the night. In fact, last Saturday was the only time she slept completely through the night. Lately, she will go 6 hours and feed, followed by another 4 hours to get us through the night. Not too bad, though!

We all made our first trip to see the Greenville Drive minor league baseball game, courtesy of my company's family day. It was in fact our first trip to see West End Park, which is a very nice park. Since the Drive is a farm team for the Red Sox, the park is designed to look just like Fenway. You can just see the green monster in the back there. It was fun, and we made it all the way through the first inning, when (fortunately for Kim and Helen) it started raining and we had to leave. But the good part is that the clouds and breeze kept the blazing heat away.
